Hello, all... First things first: HOLY MOLY WE HAVE PARKING ON OUR SIDE OF THE STREET AGAIN! It's been almost TWO YEARS since they took our parking away, so this is huge. For now it's FREE, but I was told that new parking meters have been ordered and will be installed sometime in the next month. It's unknown how long people will be able to park, I'm hoping they're 1 hour parking, but that's a question for another day. For now I'm going to run out and lay down in every spot so they know my scent. BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS again this week in the world of comics. Here are a few noteworthy ones: *DC announced BLACK LABEL: an imprint where creators can take bolder, risker choices with characters... included in the 1st wave is a WONDER WOMAN book by Kelly Sue DeConnick & Phil Jimenez, SUPERMAN: YEAR ONE by Frank Miller & John Romita, Jr, and a BATMAN story by Brian Azzarello & Lee Bermejo. *JH Williams III and Haden Blackman made a huge wave in the comic world with their run on BATWOMAN, and since doing Sandman Overture Williams was keeping a fairly low profile. Until this week, anyway, when it was revealed that they're going to Image with ECHOLANDS. This will be the best-looking comic on the racks when it comes out, no contest. XERXES: FALL OF THE HOUSE OF DARIUS (Dark Horse) Frank Miller's long-gestating sequel to 300 is finally here! It's $5.99, which may or may not influence your desire to buy it. I believe in transparency, so decide what you will!

DEMI-GOD (IDW) A horde of Demi Moore worshippers descends upon Bruce Willis' house for a bitter reckoning. Not really! It's a Ron Marz/Andy Smith romp about a regular Joe getting godlike powers.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (IDW) For the first time ever, Sonic has switched publishers and is getting a new #1! I suspect this'll do okay.

ANALOG (Image) That's a sweet cover. Deadpool & Guardians of the Galaxy writer Gerry Duggan returns to Image for a near-future sci-fi/crime thing where paper makes a big comeback after the internet dies.

ISOLA (Image) You heard it here first (unless you heard it elsewhere already): this one's gonna be big. Saga/Seven to Eternity/Monstress/Maestro big. Once people see how amazing it looks they'll throw their coins at me as they run out the door in a mad dash to consume it. It's gorgeous. I hope they throw enough coins.

AVENGERS: SHARDS OF INFINITY (Marvel) This is a one shot, and I don;t think it's connected to comic continuity. Maybe not even movie continuity, but it uses movie characters & designs.

VENOMIZED (Marvel) The final chunk of the Venomverse-related stories! Looks fun.

HELM (Action Lab) Witch action! The hot new subgenre.

SWASHBUCKLERS: THE SAGA CONTINUES (Dynamite) I loved this stuff as a kid, created by the amazing Bill Mantlo. Now that writer Marc Guggenheim is joining original artist Butch Guice will it still have the same pep?

CASPER & WENDY (American Mythology) New team-up adventures featuring these beloved characters from yesteryear.
