Hello, all-- We've got a busy week ahead of us: here's a quick look at the ol' calendar: *Sun 4/1 is EASTER and we'll be OPEN REGULAR HOURS! *Mon 4/2: all day at the shop is RESTAURANT INDUSTRY DAY where all restaurant employees get 25% OFF, and at 7pm we are the booksellers for the VCU Event HOW TO READ NANCY, wherein writers Paul Karasik and Mark Newgarden deconstruct the comic strip Nancy to demonstrate its brilliance. It'll be a great talk about the nuts and bolts of what makes great comics work. James Branch Cabell Library, 3rd floor! *Wed 4/4: local artist and Velocipal MORGAN SAWYER will be here 5-7 to sign his new Scout Comics release WELCOME TO PARADISE! It looks awesome! *Thu 4/5 VCU professor and all around swell human Robert Meganck is giving his final talk about life and graphic design at 5pm... and we'll be on hand to help him sell his new book about these topics.
