Look at these events we're hosting next week: *MONDAY, AUGUST 27th the band SEPTEMBER MOURNING will be stopping by the shop for an acoustic set and meet n' greet, in support of lead singer Emily Lazar's forthcoming graphic novel from Image Comics! If you pre-order through us that night, you'll get it at a discount when it ships in January! Spooky cool! *WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29th: comic legends GARY COHN and PARIS CULLINS come by from 4 to 6pm to discuss their prior work-- they co-created BLUE DEVIL and have worked on virtually every DC character in careers that span over 30 years-- and offer a sneak peak at their forthcoming comic NEW DEVIL! These guys have been in the trenches making comics for a long time, and their wisdom could provide immeasurable help to aspiring creators. This is gonna be a fun one! LAST CALL! Hey, subscribers! DICK TRACY DEAD OR ALIVE (IDW, 4 part miniseries, $3.99) He's back! And with art by Mike Allred and Rich Tommaso, he's going to be looking sharp!

G.I. JOE, A REAL AMERICAN HERO: SILENT OPTION (IDW, 4 part miniseries, $3.99) Living legend Larry Hama continues to break new ground with the characters he helped build into an institution!

IMPOSSIBLE, INCORPORATED (IDW, 5 part miniseries, $3.99) A teenage girl and her crew board a train taking her to alternate realities! Weirdness ensues.

FROM HELL: MASTER EDITION (IDW, 10 part miniseries, $7.99). This is a great idea-- re-releasing one of the most important comics of all time, recolored by series artist Eddie Campbell. If you've never read this Alan Moore masterpiece, this'll be a great way to do it!

BURNOUTS (Image, Ongoing, $3.99) A group of teens try to save their town from aliens they can only see when stoned. The teens I mean, not the aliens. I don't even know if weed would work on aliens.

INFINITY WARS: SOLDIER SUPREME (Marvel, 2 part miniseries, $3.99) Man, these look fun. Some reality-warped mash-ups are swooping into the Infinity Wars story! Who and why, let's find out!

RETURN OF WOLVERINE (Marvel, 5 part miniseries, $4.99) After a lot-- and I mean A LOT-- of buildup, here's the actual return of the appropriately aged Logan! Sad note: the qualifying thresholds for us to get any of the different costume variants are very high, so I don't know if we'll hit that mark. We'll do what we can!

OVER THE GARDEN WALL: HOLLOW TOWN (Boom! Ongoing?, $3.99) The beloved comic/cartoon makes its return!

PATIENCE CONVICTION REVENGE (Aftershock, Ongoing, $3.99) They get points for the title alone, that's great! A disgruntled ex-member of a crime syndicate unleashes his robot army into Las Vegas for revenger.

RICK & MORTY PRESENT SLEEPY GARY (Oni Press, One-shot, $4.99) Local writer gone big-time Magdalene Visaggio takes on this one-shot about love, perception and vespas!
