What a weird week... together we survived tornadoes in Richmond, and
Batman's penis in BATMAN: DAMNED. I can't believe the amount of news and
uproar that has generated. And the one thing they're not talking about
in the press is that it's a pretty good comic. We're trying to get more
in, will keep you posted!
PLASTIC BAGS! We're about out of plastic bags... if anyone has any
they'd like us to take, bring 'em on in! Let's all reduce our trash
footprints a lil' bit by reusing these suckers! If you bring any, please
make sure they're dry and don't have any lil' tomato hunks in them--
yes, we got a bag once that had lil' tomato hunks in it. Not optimal for
bringing comics home in.
VARIANT COVERS! I wanted to give a little refresher on how we deal with
variant covers, for those who are interested. There are a bunch of
different types of variants, and we handle each of them a bit
differently:
*For open to order variants, meaning we can order as many as we want
without any qualifying thresholds, we typically equal our order
quantities for each cover, and split them up evenly for subscribers. If
there is a specific cover that is preferred, just tell us! It's easy to
accommodate that request.
*For variants with some sort of qualifying threshold-- maybe it's that
we can order 1 variant for every 25 regular covers, or if we double our
orders of a title, it unlocks the variant-- those are generally in
higher demand. For those we allow subscribers to request variants as
soon as the newsletter comes out. That seems the fairest way to level
the playing field for covers that have more demand than we have supply.
