Hello, all-- It's an interesting time in the comics biz... stores from shore to shore are reporting a rise in speculators and flippers coming in and cleaning out in an attempt to cash in! I get the appeal, it's fun to try to hunt down the next hot thing and make a few bucks while you're at it. The foundation of our store, though, has always been the regulars, the readers-- the lovers of the art form. It's really important to us that you get the comics you're excited to check out... sometimes a title spikes so fast we don't have the chance to up our orders, or reorder. If you don't catch something on our weekly LAST CALL lists, you can always try to call or email as release dates approach. I can't guarantee anything at that point, but I'd rather the longtime subscriber gets a shot at Reaver #1 over the guy who I only see when a book explodes. We had our first SECRET SALE THURSDAY this past week, and now I can reveal what it was: 30% OFF all priced back issues! I know one customer happily walked out of here with Miles Morales' first appearance for way less than the going rate. What's it gonna be this Thursday? You'll have to come in and see! LAST CALL! By Josh Williamson and former Marvel exclusive artist David Marquez! Also note: there's a Batman cover, a Superman cover, and a both of them cover. ABSOLUTE CARNAGE: LETHAL PROTECTORS (Marvel, Mini, $3.99, shipping 8/28/19) Cloak and Dagger, Iron Fist, and Morbius?!? Yes please!

ABSOLUTE CARNAGE MILES MORALES (Marvel, Mini, $3.99, shipping 8/28/19) The Scorpion used to be a host for the Venom symbiote. I wonder if that'll play into this?

FANTASTIC FOUR: YANCY STREET (Marvel, One-shot, $4.99, shipping 8/28/19) The FF are now located on Yancy St, but some of the locals aren't too happy about it. Written by Gerry Duggan!

MARVEL  MONSTERS (Marvel, One-shot, $4.99, shipping 8/28/19) The big selling point on this issue is the murderer's row of great artists contributing: Becky Cloonan, Gerardo Zaffino, Scott Hepburn & more!

POWER PACK: GROW UP (Marvel, One-shot, $4.99, shipping 8/28/19) From the original creative team!

SPIDER-MAN: VELOCITY (Marvel, Mini, $3.99, shipping 8/28/19) I wish this was about Spidey needing a certain comic store's help in defeating a new Legion of Evil, but it's not. It continues from the video-game tie-in!

DOCTOR MIRAGE (Valiant, Ongoing?, $3.99, shipping 8/28/19) A paranormal investigator who can speak to the dead has to solver her own murder.
