Hello, all!
I'm guessing you're probably at home right now, trying to wait out the
marathon so you can get out of your house. I can tell you this
much...Broad Street in front of the shop is now open! Otherwise, if you
have access to I-64, you can make it to the comic shop if you'd like. I
live in Bon Air (south side!) and was able to get here easily. Coming
eastbound I exited on Belvidere and parked about a block away-- plenty
of spots on Marshall, Clay and Leigh! Coming westbound you can get off
at Chamberlayne and cross Leigh St, same thing. I understand that Waze
will navigate you through the driving hell as well. We'll be here all
day! And if you opt out, maybe we'll see you tomorrow. I get it.
Speaking of tomorrow, have you heard about RICE? That's the RICHMOND
INDIE COMIC EXPO, a team effort put on by local comics luminaries and
VCU. There'll be a who's who of notable Richmond comic talent there, and
it's FREE to enter! Sun 11/17 from 11am to 6pm, at VCU's James Cabell
Branch Library, Lecture Hall 303. I'll be at the shop all day tomorrow,
but I'm popping over there right when they open to scope it out. It's
gonna be fun! And free! And dealing with stuff you like!
LAST CALL! These books might sell out on you, if you don't tell us you
want them by MONDAY 11/18. That's when our orders lock for these
mid-December shipping debuts. I know, comics is a bit screwy of a
business at times. It's annoying to think that far ahead. But that lil'
bit of communication will make future you so proud of current you. Bask
in that feeling!
